Cemetery Garden
 

 

 

The earliest known efforts at gardening point to Bronte House, notably by Georgina Lowe, who encouraged locals’ efforts. Some of the large estates also set some examples.

Once the cemetery was begun, Council staff ensured the expectations of the community were met, as the example shown. These days, there are many examples of Council gardens, especially as military observances approach.
